How the certification process works
The workshop follows a clear three-stage structure designed to build your skills progressively, covering the period before, during and after the workshop days.
Before the workshop
You complete the three Hogan questionnaires yourself: HPI, HDS and MVPI. This gives you direct experience of the assessments from a participant’s perspective, and your own profile will be used as a learning tool during the workshop. You also receive an individual feedback session on your own profile before the workshop begins and get access to an online pre-learning module that introduces Hogan’s key dimensions, so you arrive with a foundation to build on.
During the workshop (2 days)
The workshop combines presentations, advanced case studies, applied feedback exercises and coaching. You will interpret real profiles, discuss challenging cases and practice giving Hogan feedback under the guidance of experienced consultants who use these tools in their daily work.
Day 1 of the workshop will include perspectives of personality assessment, interpreting and applying the HPI and HDS.
Day 2 will include interpreting and applying the MVPI and practice delivering effective feedback on all three inventotires.
After the workshop
To complete your certification, you submit a written interpretation of a practice participant’s results. One of our consultants will review this with you in a follow-up call to discuss your perspective and answer any questions. Upon successful completion, you are registered globally with Hogan Assessments and receive your official certification. You can then begin purchasing and using Hogan reports immediately.

Hogan Certification is an official accreditation from Hogan Assessments, USA. It qualifies you to administer and interpret the three core Hogan personality inventories: HPI, HDS and MVPI. The certification is recognised globally and does not expire.

No previous assessment experience is required. You will be guided from the fundamentals to practical application through structured exercises, case interpretation and feedback practice.

The internal Hogan Certification Workshop runs over two full days.
We also offer in-house options for organisations who wish to certify a group of participants together, tailored to your timeline and context.
Yes, your Hogan certification is lifelong. However, if you would like to refresh your skills, we offer Brush-Up participation in our open workshops, as well as a three-hour online Refresher Workshop.
After certification, you are registered with Hogan Assessments globally and can begin purchasing and using Hogan reports immediately.
